What Happens When You Downgrade or Cancel
We understand that business needs change. Here is what to expect if you decide to downgrade your Datadrew plan or cancel your subscription.
Downgrading Your Plan
If you move from a higher plan to a lower one (for example, Pro to Essentials, or Essentials to Free), the following applies:
Timing: The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep full access to your current plan until then.
Feature access: Once the downgrade activates, features not included in your new plan will become unavailable. For example, if you downgrade from Pro to Essentials, you will lose access to Product Intelligence, basket analysis, and product cohorts.
AI credits: Your monthly credit allowance adjusts to the new plan's limit at the start of the next billing cycle (Free: 200, Essentials: 1,000, Pro: 4,000).
Data history: If you move to the Free plan, your accessible data history will be limited to the last 3 months. Your older data is not deleted β it becomes accessible again if you upgrade.
Connected stores: The Free and Essentials plans support 1 store. If you have multiple stores connected on Pro (up to 3), you will need to select which store to keep active.
Cancelling Your Subscription
To cancel, go to Settings > Billing and select Cancel Subscription. Here is what happens next:
Immediate: Your plan reverts to the Free tier at the end of the current billing cycle.
Data retention (30 days): After cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days. During this window, you can resubscribe and pick up where you left off.
After 30 days: Your synced data and configuration are permanently deleted from our systems. Connected integrations are disconnected.
Shopify billing: No further charges will appear on your Shopify invoice after the current cycle ends.
Can I Pause Instead?
Datadrew does not currently offer a pause option. If you need a temporary break, consider downgrading to the Free plan instead of cancelling. This way, you keep access to basic analytics and your data remains intact.
