What data does Datadrew pull from Brevo?
Connecting Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to Datadrew lets you analyze your email and SMS marketing performance alongside your e-commerce data. Datadrew syncs campaign metrics, contact lists, email deliverability data, transactional email performance, and automation workflow results — helping you understand how your marketing communications drive engagement and revenue.
Prerequisites
A Brevo account (all plans supported, including the free tier)
Access to your Brevo account settings
Step-by-step: Generate your Brevo API key
Log in to your Brevo Dashboard.
Click your company name or profile icon in the top-right corner.
Select SMTP & API from the dropdown menu.
Navigate to the API Keys tab.
Click Generate a new API key.
Give it a descriptive name (e.g., "Datadrew Integration").
Copy the generated API key — it will start with
xkeysib-.
Important: Use the API key (starts with xkeysib-), NOT the SMTP key. The SMTP key is for sending emails via SMTP protocol and will not work with the Datadrew integration.
Allowlist Datadrew’s IP address (if you restrict API access by IP)
Brevo lets you lock your API keys to specific Authorized IPs. If this is turned on — you’ll see a banner in Brevo that says “Unauthorized IP addresses are blocked for your API keys” — you must add Datadrew’s IP address, or the connection will fail even with a valid, active key.
In Brevo, go to Settings → SMTP & API, then open Authorized IPs (or click the authorized IP addresses link shown in the API keys banner).
Add Datadrew’s IP address:
34.66.91.4Save your changes, then connect Brevo in Datadrew.
Not sure if you use IP restrictions? Most Brevo accounts don’t. If you’ve never set up Authorized IPs you can skip this step — but if a valid key still fails to connect, this is almost always the cause.
What to enter in Datadrew
In your Datadrew dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations.
Find Brevo and click Connect.
Paste your API key into the API Key field.
Click Save to complete the connection.

Good to know: Brevo was formerly known as Sendinblue. If your account still shows the Sendinblue branding, the same steps apply — the SMTP & API section is in the same location.

Troubleshooting
Using the wrong key? Brevo provides both API keys and SMTP keys on the same page. Make sure you copied the API key (starts with
xkeysib-), not the SMTP key. The SMTP key is only for email sending and will not authenticate API requests."Invalid API Key" error? Verify the key starts with
xkeysib-and was copied completely without extra spaces or missing characters.Still seeing "Sendinblue" branding? Brevo rebranded from Sendinblue in 2023. If your dashboard still shows Sendinblue, the API keys work the same way. No action needed.
Data not syncing? Ensure the API key has not been revoked. You can check the status of your API keys under SMTP & API in Brevo settings. Allow up to 24 hours for the initial data sync.
Connection fails with a valid key? Your Brevo account may restrict API access by IP. Add Datadrew’s IP
34.66.91.4under SMTP & API → Authorized IPs in Brevo, then reconnect — see “Allowlist Datadrew’s IP address” above.
